devicenow Introduces Fixed Pricing on All Standard Devices Through End of May 2026

Reading time: min

March 23, 2026

All standard device orders placed by 31 May 2026 are covered by fixed pricing – giving IT and procurement teams a confirmed cost baseline for upcoming rollouts. The window may be extended beyond May depending on market conditions.

What’s changing in the market

Q2 2026 is proving harder to plan around than previous years. Two factors are driving this:

  • Price volatility: Component costs and currency fluctuations are continuing to affect device pricing across the market, making it difficult to lock budgets in advance.
  • Constrained availability: Lead times on specific configurations remain unpredictable, particularly for newer device generations.

For CIOs, CTOs, IT operations managers, and procurement teams, this creates a planning problem: commitments made today may not reflect the costs or timelines that materialise at delivery.

What devicenow is offering

devicenow has secured a fixed pricing window across its full standard device portfolio for the duration of Q2 2026.

What’s covered:

  • Laptops, desktops, monitors, and accessories
  • All orders placed by 31 May 2026 – with the possibility of extension beyond this date
  • devicenow’s manufacturer-independent standardised device configurations

What this means in practice: The monthly per-device rate quoted at order is the rate that applies for the entire device lifecycle, regardless of market movement between now and expiry of the window. Organisations can commit to a fleet budget today with full confidence in the numbers over the long term.

There is also an important flexibility built in: your subscription only starts when you need it to. Order in May to secure your devices and lock in pricing, but if your rollout is planned for September, your rental invoices don’t start until September. devicenow holds your fleet in our warehouse in the meantime, at no additional cost. No hidden charges, no early billing.

Why timing matters for availability

Fixed pricing addresses cost predictability, but availability is a separate constraint. Specific configurations are subject to allocation limits.

Organisations that define requirements and place orders earlier in Q2 are better positioned to:

  • Secure preferred configurations before stock tightens
  • Align device delivery with onboarding or refresh timelines
  • Avoid emergency substitutions that require IT reassessment

Delayed decisions in the current market typically result in fewer configuration options, not just longer wait times.

How devicenow’s standardised device approach supports this

One of the solutions devicenow offers is a manufacturer-independent model, where devices are defined by performance category rather than tied to a single SKU. If a specific model becomes unavailable, devicenow seamlessly provides an equivalent or upgraded configuration, without requiring the customer to restart the procurement process.

This approach removes a common planning risk by eliminating reliance on the availability of one specific model at a precise moment, ensuring greater continuity and flexibility in device provisioning.

Next steps

If your organisation has device refresh cycles, new hire onboarding, or infrastructure upgrades planned for H1 or H2 2026, the current pricing window is worth acting on before 31 May.
