Sometimes, the best partnerships don’t start with a grand plan but with a simple conversation. When devicenow and Techstep first connected, there was no predefined roadmap—just a shared curiosity about how both companies could complement each other’s strengths in IT lifecycle management. What started as an exploratory discussion quickly evolved into a strategic collaboration, shaping a new way for enterprises to manage their workplace IT.
It all began in May 2023, when Techstep expressed interest in connecting with devicenow’s leadership. At first, the discussions were informal—an exchange of ideas on how both companies could benefit from each other’s expertise. But it didn’t take long to recognize the potential for something bigger.
Techstep, a leading provider of digital workplace solutions, had built a strong presence in the Scandinavian market with a robust IT lifecycle management platform. Devicenow, on the other hand, had a global reach and a mission to simplify IT procurement and device management for enterprises worldwide. The synergy was clear: Techstep’s technology could enhance devicenow’s offering, while devicenow’s international footprint would open new opportunities for Techstep beyond the Nordic region.
What followed was a series of deep-dive workshops, bringing together key stakeholders from both sides. Devicenow’s team, led by IT and product experts, traveled to Oslo to explore the full capabilities of Techstep’s platform. The goal? To assess how it could be integrated into devicenow’s service offering and adapted to meet the needs of a global customer base.
Through close collaboration, both teams mapped out a vision for a powerful hardware lifecycle portal—one that would streamline device management, enhance cost control, and provide enterprises with a seamless IT experience. This vision took shape as the devicenow Lifecycle Portal—the joint solution that combines Techstep’s advanced lifecycle management technology with devicenow’s global IT procurement expertise.
By mid-2024, the first joint customer project went live, marking a major milestone in the partnership. But this collaboration is about more than just integrating software—it’s about redefining workplace IT management for businesses worldwide.
Techstep benefits from devicenow’s global reach, gaining access to markets beyond Scandinavia. Meanwhile, devicenow strengthens its service portfolio by incorporating Techstep’s lifecycle management capabilities, ensuring that enterprise customers receive the best-in-class IT solutions they need to scale efficiently.
And this is just the beginning. With ongoing developments and continuous improvements to the devicenow Lifecycle Portal, the partnership between devicenow and Techstep is set to evolve further, bringing even more value to enterprise customers worldwide.
